Application of
diode as Clippers
• Clippers have ability to
“clip/remove” off a portion of the input signal without
distorting the remaining part of
the alternating waveform.
• HWR is simplest form of
clippers. The orientation of diode is going to decide the part
of sinusoidal waveform to be
clipped off.
